Sometimes, when you go to download a copy of windows from a warez site or something, you find that when you burn the image file to the cd and try to boot it up. It dont boot up! So this is the problem i have. I downloaded over some 3 or 4 different windows xp, and some does not want to boot up to the blue screen to where u can choose to reformat and what not.

Right now i downloaded windows xp performance edition SP3, and it only came with 1 folder and 3 files.

    -I386 (folder)
    -WIN51
    -WIN51P
    -WIN511P.SP3

I know that these files arent gonna let me boot it up to where i can install the fresh copy. But i tried anyways, and it dont work.So my question is, what do you do with these files to make it boot up? Does it requires other files to do this? Do i need to replace these files with something else to boot this up?

It's my opinion that it seems that you're slowly but surely answering your own questions. You are aware, that you are at the mercy of whom ever packed and upped those files. You have done this a number of times, and still with no luck. Yet you still can't get over that final hurdle of accepting the fact, that the files are crap.Period.

Lafeet...in all honesty do you really expect anyone here at aD, to unravel the mess of data that is an illegal download to start with?
Buddy, junk them discs and do yourself a favour and buy a copy of XP.
Get decent files and you'll get decent help. Last but not least is that while you may think this post is perhaps harsh, it is in no way shape or form..a put down.

    All the best.
