I built a server just for my tvix. I installed a raid 0 with 4 tb, running windows XP pro SP3 with a "Hot Swap" hard drive pullout system for limitless video storage. I networked it throughout my house running 4 tvix 6500 connected together using a network hub (all wired, NO wireless). I use NSF Allegro server software.

Everything works fine. The only thing I am trying to do is save electricity since the server does not need to run all the time. I have tried "Standby mode" by setting my bio's to "wake on LAN", which worked, but the server goes back into "standby" during streaming video.

My question is: How to setup the server to "wake up" and stay awake until I am finished using it? or maybe, a better power managing software I could buy?

Thank you for any input on this.
