how can i fit a 7.45gb iso data file (not a movie) onto a standard 4.7 gb dvd?

    i need to figure out how to fit a 7.45 gb program ISO onto a 4.7gb dvd. I got an ISO of cs4 master suite, and need to back it up onto a dvd. any suggestions???

    I don't know if the original files within the .iso have been already compressed. Extract all files from the .iso to a new folder. Now compress the new folder using any popular compression app. 7 Zip will extract files from the .iso and compress into your choice of several formats. Is the folder small enough now? Burn to data DVD. If you feel you need to return it to .iso use Imgburn. No need to though really.

    You could also just use a compression program to split the archive into 4GB chunks (or smaller) if the compression program can't just compress the .iso to fit.

    Hey thanks guys, I'm going to dl 7zip and give it a try. I appreciate the advice.
