I just ordered a new phone online from Overstock.com and the phone is supposed to be unlocked. It arrived in the mail today, so I charged it and then stuck the SIM card in. When I turned the phone on, it says "Insert SIM" Honestly I have no idea what's wrong with it, I have no idea where to even begin. Any suggestions would be helpful.. Oh..and it was locked to Cingular, originally I'm with AT&T
did it say INSERT SIM or did it say INSERT CORRECT SIM If it said INSERT SIM, try another simcard in it. If it still says INSERT SIM, then the simcard reader on the phone isn't working !!! You would've bought a defective phone !! If it was saying INSERT CORRECT SIM, then it would've been locked and needed unlocking !
