The laptop is less then a year old, and I got a blue screen of death! Funny thing is that, my boyfriend got the same thing earlier today, with the same kinda error.. I got a link from a windows site after I click "Ok" that lead me to download a prog, and after I installed it, (something to check what went wrong) They asked me to put a floppy disk to save some logs.. I laughed and came here (Floppy disk.. ha! Reaaallllyyy?) Thanks!
Hi anarkya Please download the HijackThis zip file. Save it onto a convenient place in your computer, and then unzip the file. Rename HijackThis(.exe) to scanner(.exe). Next, run scanner(.exe). A window will pop up. • Click on the button which says Main Menu, then Do a system scan and save a logfile. • Please wait for the scan to be completed. • After the scan has completed, a text window will pop up. Please post the contents of this window here. This will also be located at hijackthis(.txt) in the same folder that HijackThis was originally saved. Do you have any hardware plugged into your computer? Any new ones? Can you copy the error report from the Event Viewer? Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer
I didn't have any hardware plugged in no, I only connect my headphone once in a while.. and my blackberry once a month.. but both weren't connected.. I found the Event Viewer, do you need all 4, and, how do I save it into a file to post here? Thank you
