Alcohol 120% virtual drive error, please help!

Recently purchased the most up-to-date Alcohol 120% software but I have come across a problem when attempting to create a virtual drive.

I get an error message that reads:

Unable to add adapter. Device problem 39. ACPI function of the BIOS must be turned off.

I have recently had my Windows XP Reinstalled and my computer HDD is completely cleaned.

Any suggestions?

With this kind of very specific error, you have to be lucky enough
to find someone who's seen it before...

Another way of doing this, is of course, do a generalized search.

Read through some of these posts, perhaps you find some thimgs you can try:

I've tried that also, no real luck

Does anyone know how to turn off the ACPI in the BIOS.

That is what I need to do, I guess?

Turning off ACPI in the BIOS is not the answer.
It will cause all your devices to be redetected and reinstalled.

Any useful info from Bremmans post at 9.28 AM ?
