anybody had problems with their antenna that screws in the back

    anybody had problems with their antenna that screws in the back
    of the desktop pc its for my wireless internet. having problem for months and just got a new routher off eircom today signal was great for a few hours and now there is no signal.just wondering if the antenna could be the problem and if so what antenna would you recommend

    I have wireless internet with eircom as well, have 2 pcs and an xbox connected, the signal seems to be very erratic, i don't believe it is the pc though, i believe it is the eircom signal, because it happens to me on both pcs and the xbox goes down as well, even though that is a wired connection.

    Does yours work fine for ages, then die out? Then come back on some time later?

    I used to have that problem. You will find the problem either is:

    You don't filter any phone lines in your hosue, and the interference is killing the modem

    or

    You do have it filtered, but you're unaware that you have a central filter (underground) which is pretty much filters the whole hose, thus you're filtering it to the point where it won't work.

    found the problem download and save the wireless driver that you need then uninstall the wireless driver you have in device manger then install the driver you downloaded the driver i had must have been corupted anyway it has worked for me

    I do have all the phone lines filtered, which i was told to do. I will try without the filters see if it improves anything. Thanks.
