I know that i started another one where i said that my bose 321 DVD player would not play home burnt DVDS now it will not do anything at all. When I plug it in the back light will turn on for about two minutes and then the back light will turn off thats all that it will do. I called bose support and they helped me out a lot they said that it would caust a $150 bench charge plus shipping to send both the main module and the accustamass or I drive two hours to my "local repair outlet" I hope that someone knows something that can help me before I send it away (or maybe get a new one)
"Get a new system, and stay away from Bose this time!" What do you have against bose? this one worked fine for 6 years!
Did you read the review in the link I posted above? They are like Monster cables...........they charge 100 times more than their stuff is worth. You can take the same amount of money, that the Bose system costs, and buy equipment that will blow Bose out of the water! More and more people are finding that out now. That's why there's so much Bose stuff for sale on Craig's List........ )
I too have heard (from very knowledgable regulars here at AD) that Bose speakers are over rated and over priced. Better speakers can be purchased for much, much less. Just my thoughts, Jo
Here is a good example of what home theater enthusiasts think of Bose, as home theater equipment. This is from S&V forums, but you'll find the same thing at any home theater forum. Afterall, people into home theater, want to get the most for their money too. http://forums.soundandvisionmag.com/audiovideo/board/message?board.id=40&thread.id=93089 Read all three pages of the thread, and learn something......... )
