I've been doing some reading and understand that TY & verbatium are the best media. I also understand that generally the ( + ) media is better, but I saw somewhere that depending on the DVD drive it doesn't matter. I'm fairly confused and was hoping some of your expertise could help me from wasting 10+ hours reading conflicting reports only to buy the wrong media in the end.

I have Lite-On. I was wondering if this would be a good buy, or if I should maybe focus on another media?

Thanks in advance

My Lite-On's burn almost anything.
What's important is your connections, up to date firmware, burning speed, files will not be burned close to the edge of the disc, programs running in the background and keeping a very clean system.
And of course, making sure that your files are in good shape. I never auto burn. I always check to make sure there are absolutely no errors before burning.
My favorite discs are TY's.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Taiyo Yuden is the best media you can use no matter what drive you buy and the DVD dash R are just a good as the DVD plus R format the only advantage using the DVD plus R is you can booktype to DVD-ROM and the disadvantage is they cost more than the DVD dash R on-line which is the only place you can buy Taiyo Yuden media. I use the TY DVD dash R format with never a problem

Thanks ZosoIV, and sorry if it seems like another redundant "which media is best" question.
