I just got my Afterdawn t-shirt today and I have to say I like it a lot. I guess I didn't figure that a free shirt would be quite this nice. And my kids really like the back.
I wrote a guide for AVSEdit. Actually I didn't realize they still had t-shirts until I was offered one, but I've never been one to turn down a handout. ;-) And honestly, if I saw this shirt in a store I'd buy one. What's really funny is that it got here from another continent faster than most of the letters my mother-in-law sends from halfway across the country. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Learn AviSynth The Easy Way: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/avisynth_tutorial.cfm Afterdawn Guides: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ Afterdawn Rules: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/6346[/small]
Nephilim: As much as I appreciate the offer for Pop-Tart guide, I unfortunately feel that the need for such guide would be rather small Anyway, seriously, the way to get a freebie T-shirt (we don't sell them outside Finland for various reasons, most notably because of the hassle with payments, shipping, possible customs fees, returns, etc) is to submit a guide via this awful monster-sort-of-user-interface (ye, it sucks, but we use the same thing for adding our own guides as well : http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/submit.cfm ...and obviously it has to be "good enough" to get published on our site (in plain English: clear and to fill a gap in our current guide selection -- preferrably relates to video -- encoding, ripping, whatever -- but some types of Xbox/PS2 guides are accepted every now and then as well). Some ideas for guides that we might be interested of: -add a new subtitle track to a ready-shrinked DVD-R image (i.e. you've got R1/NTSC DVDR in .iso format and you wish to add R2/PAL Swahili subtitles to it -- assuming the binary has few megs spare space in it) -DVD to DVDR using CCE 2.5 or TMPGEnc, maintaining subtitles and audio tracks (not necessarily the menus, no on ecan afford to get Scenarist legally..) -RealVideo to AVI/VCD/whatever etc... you get the idea. And of course the guide has to be made by the guy who submits it, violation of that very basic rule will normally result in permanent injury ;-)
Hee Hee! Thought I'd try Considering the many learned members here and the fact that I have much learning to do myself, I believe I'll make a custom one that nobody else has! I can handle the AD logo but how would you write "MPAA can kiss my patootie" in Finnish? _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Gigabyte 8INXP, Intel P4HT 3.06 Mushkin 1024 MB PC2100 Sapphire 9800 Pro Plextor PX-708A/Plextor Premium/LTD-166S M-Audio Revolution 7.1 Bald is Beautiful[/small]
I hadn't looked that close at the back until you mentioned this. When I looked at the bottom of the text it just jumped out at me. Funny stuff. Then I looked some more and found a couple more lines. I guess always read the small print is right. ;-)
