Since LG, sharp and Chungwa has been caught price fixing and had to pay out $540 million, does anyone know when the public is to expect price cuts for LCD tvs?

Nah, I honestly think that's too much for what I'm used to seein.

Yea, I'm interested in 1080p minimum and the cheapest I've seen a 1080p lcd that was in the 50" range was for 1199.

When they get to 999 or less, then I'll be interested.

well, i've managed a purchase that i have been excited about. i recently purchased an:

    Philips 42PFL3603D/27 - 42" 1080p LCD HDTV - 29000:1 Contrast Ratio - 5ms Response Time

didn't actually realized that i bought basically a pc monitor, duh, but its been great. i have everything hooked up to it, pc, gaming systems, dvd player, surround sound and its been a special experience for me. and the best part of it all is that i only paid $884.99 and free shipping. some would say i should have bought this type and brand but i didn't like the plasma, or dlp. so lcd hdtv was my choice. got it all from buy.com
