copying my hard drive

i started copying my hard drive, and my computer froze up. i already had 2 cd's filled. when i started over, my software wouldn't rewite over the full disks, said they need to be empty. when i tried to delete the files from the cd's, message said cannot delete read only files from a cd. any suggestions? thanks.

1) If it is a CD-R, you can burn it only once
2) If it is a CD-RW, then use an ERASE function of your CD-R software
