Hello, forgive if this is a Newbie question, but are Blu-Ray discs Region Coded? And are they manufactured to either only play in PAL or NTSC like regular DVDs? I ask because I want to this Blu-Ray from Europe because it's only available in Blu-Ray over there and only standard DVD here in America. Thanks.
Yes I believe Bluray is region protected. but if your bluray player is on your computer there are programs like AnyDVD that will take away the Region coding.
According to bluraystats.com 70% of all BluRay movies are region-free. Most of the Warner, Universal and Paramount releases are region-free.
