    Hi :)

How do I update my usb drivers?
Iv got a yellow exclamation mark next to it in device manager,
whatever i plug in doesn't get recognised but it makes that sound effect when you plug something in but it sounds a little different compared to its usally noise.

Iv tried uninstalling it in device manager then restarting windows so it can reinstall but no luck.

Im running widows xp home edition sp2.

I have tried looking in various websites to download them but no success.

Some help will be great :)

If you're running sp2 there are no further USB updates at this time. You somehow "lost" the drivers you had. Intel had some updates for their controller a while back. Try Microsoft Updates > Custom > Check software and hardware updates available.

Many questions: Enabled plug and play in admin. services? PC brand and model? When did they stop working? Try a system restore? Have your Windows install disc? Run "sfc /scannow"? Have your manufacturers driver install disc?
    Check here? http://www.usb-drivers.com/
    And: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822603

    More info would be helpful.

    Plug and play is enabled
I have tried a system restore
As for the make and model, il get back to you on that (im at me mums)
I dont have a manufacturers disc but i have a copy of windows xp HE sp2 and i haven't tried the "sfc /scannow" so thats my next move.

This problem happened a couple of weeks ago, the reason im doing something about it now is because iv been using my laptop alot (for work)

il try using the windows xp disc and see if it restores them,
