im having problems downloading the new firmware for pvr

hi there
I know you have been getting a lot of messages from people with regards to these boxes being down and i know im chancing my luck here, but im not to sure where to go or what to do
ive got the link you sent with regards to the new firm ware, thats great thanks, but when i begin the download it says its waitin for a response from my receiver, but never goes anywhere, ive even left it for 30mins to see if that does anythin, but im getting nothin at all
is there somethin simple that im missing out?

im thinkin there is an issue with the usb/ rs 232 connector, as this shows in com port 8 when i download the software, but the firmware wants to load in com port 3, any ideas on how to change this as everythin i do with this seems to take it to a higher com port!!!!

im totally lost

Not sure which PVR you have but if you are sure you have the correct Firmware for it I would suggest you goto, borrow, beg the use of a PC with a 9 pin com port, these usb to com adaptors are and can be a real P.I.N.A.
BTW if its the Twin tuner PVR, there is new a firmware fix out for that today.
