Hey I’ve got a problem concerning burning dvds, Wonder if anyone could help? Up to about a week I had been burning dvds fine with Nero 5 and DVD shrink. But now Nero wont burn any dvd, be it data or video…At first I thought it was the media but I just bought some Verbatim and it wouldn’t copy either.. Someone told me that I need Nero 6, is this true? In the Nero log it says that theirs a “Power calibration error” Any help would be appreciated…
markus200, On occasion Nero has been known to "Spazz out" - Try uninstalling it, reboot, reinstall, reboot and see if that clears the problem up - As far as Nero 6 - the new DVDShrink works great with it - it uses it to automatically burns your DVD without help from the outside ) Pete
When a DVD Writer goes to write a disc each time it calibrates itself with that disc. This involves it writing a small segment at the start of every DVD. When you get a Power Calibration Error it is nearly always a Media problem. But there are times were it is a big problem with the Hardware.
