I was thinking of doing something like this to help the air flow.
Has anyone done something like this?

Ohh and if anyone has any pointers for me on making a custom side widow for my xbox. I just went and bought some plexiglass that I want to cut and fit.

I do something similar to that with every RROD system I fix.
I also include a partition inside the fan shroud that separates the fans, so each fan pulls from one heatsink.

After reading the site that gives this tutorial I see lot of people going on about if they should have it covering half GPU or full GPU - Answer is half - reason being is due to the location of the GPU under the heatsink its at about half way location under the GPU - Having the card cut at this point makes the air flow in at this section cooling the part of the heatsink just above the GPU.

On the black xbox i did i used some tin foil and some electrical tape. It seemed to work really well. Of course the box had both xclamps replaced, AS5 applied, and fan mesh cut out.

My customer says the xbox is flawless still.
