So for the last 4 hours i been trying to fix a computer that is infested with viruses. Most the time i wasnt even able to do anything because it kept freezing and popups. It wont let me go to most websites, and wont let me get into task manager, And it changes the wallpaper to a blue paper that says something about spyware being on the computer. Also in the taskbar a balloon that pops up saying there is viruses click here! Also it wont let me connect to any update server, i.e. adaware or avg so i cant update them :/ The only thing i was able to install fully was Hijackthis, i ran it and got a few things deleted but the virus is still there. I installed adaware but like i said couldnt update it, i ran it and got 11 critical objects, deleted those. Installed avg, scanned and got 4 trojans. But the computer is still running the same! Im out of ideas, what can i do to get this virus off? I just downloaded the latest updates manually for adaware and avg from my computer, so i will run those tomorrow. Is there anything else i can do?

try installing malwarebytes in "safe mode with networking" and try to get the definition updates prior to scanning in full scan mode.
