    Hi All,

I have a PC with Win XP - SP3 Installed.

Hardware Specifications of the system are :
AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 6000+
    3.01 Ghz , 1.87 GB RAM

The problem lies with the USB device usage... Whenever I connect any USB device to the system it always flashes a message - 'This device can perform faster..blah blah blah...' .. And it takes soooooooo long to copy data to/from any USB devices attached...

Any resolutions to this problem ?

    Regards-
    H.

under usb controllers in device manager, is there an enhanced controller there as sounds like you are running at usb1 speed instead of usb2 speed? is there a yellow exclamation mark in usb controllers?

Are you connecting to the front or rear usb ports?
my computer does that when I connect to the front usb ports. When I connect to the rear ports I get full usb 2.0 speeds.

    Hi DDP,

    In device manager it shows:
Standard ENHANCED PCI to USB controller
    Standard openHCD USB Host conrtroller
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub

    Yellow Exclamation Mark - YES

    Hi jony218,

I connect to the ports on the backside, i.e. USB ports direct on the motherboard... still it keeps on flashing the same message.
