I want to get a new slim PSP and mod it with CFW--but I understand the 3000's can't be CFW'd right now, is that correct? If so, how do I tell the difference before I buy in a store?

Just be aware some of the PSP 2000 are out now that are non modifiable. A friend of mine got burned twice by getting the same exact PSP model (2000) and I was not able to add the CFW at all. I suggest hunting for the Star Wars pack or the God of War pack as those are good versions of the 2000 to modify. Otherwise, good luck since there is no real way that I know of how to tell which PSP model 2000 would work just by looking at the package
