I have Vision Express II and it used to work fine. I capture vhs tapes through a capture card using Power VCR II. It saves them on my HD as 680 meg mpg files. If I open them hte sound is in sync to the video.

When I make a DVD in Vision Express, the audio is out of sync with the video. They come out like one of those Japanese B movie dubbing job.

Any suggestions what I can do?

    Thanks

Try to author the files to DVD format using DVD Flick.

If the files are true mpeg-2 files (assume that they are) then click on 'Project Settings' > 'Video' > 'Advanced' > 'Copy MPEG-2 Streams'.
The files will not be recoded (merely demuxed/remuxed) and the process is much faster.

Nero recodes everything, whether it needs it or not.

A solution I have heard about is to uncheck "Smart Encoding".

I wasen't able to find where you can do that in Vision Express.

    Anybody know where it is?

I looked on all the settings on the page just before you start burning process.

    Any information is appreciated.

    Thanks
