usb 2.0 driver

would anyone be able to tell me where to download the driver i didnt come with a cd??

yea i got that earlier but when i put the device in it cant find it???

 

ryt noel see when i download that file were do i dowload it too ?? its a winrar file is that correct??

 

Download it onto your desktop & use winrar to extract the files.
There is also a guide on the right of the gilsson page if you are having any problems.

You can extract them onto your desktop. Have a look at the right hand side of the gilsson link, & follow the instructions & you should be sorted

i extracted the files to my desktop then it comes up when u put the usb in found new hardware so then when u go to install it what do you select????????

 

When you put the usb in the usb port, the Add New Hardware Wizard should appear.
click Next
Select search for the best driver for your device
click Next
It will ask you to specify the location of your driver, select "specify a location"
Use browse to find the file on your hard drive, eg, Desktop.
Click Next & thats it.

 

yea that all comes up but when i click next it says cannot install this hardware the wizard cannot find the nessecary software ??? it would drive ya mad lol

All I can suggest noel, is that it would be an idea to uninstall the gear, then install it back on the PC (If it is Plug n Play) then when it asks for drivers, you should get a message "some thing like,do you want to search the internet for the drivers" that might work mate, I have to go for awhile now, the other half is shouting again lol, talk later.

Q) Does the item work in Vista
A) The item is plug and play under Vista usually but we have found in some cases the installation will not go through. In these cases install disk supplied and when it refuses to install correctly (which it will do) use the option "search internet for updated driver" and the driver will be updated to the working version.

 

cheers for the help guys i ended up just scrappin it and buyn a new cable with cd to install it lol ad advise anyone with little paticence to do the same lol

 

Does that mean you are now sorted, was it not a new product supplied with drivers on CD then? Should have read back, anyway hope your sorted now.
