Last night I overclocked my AMD athlon 3000+ 1.8GHz processor to 2GHz. It didnt boot the first couple of times, but the third time was the charm. Then the today everytime I boot up my CPU fan stops when it gets to the boot screen. How can I fix this. Would getting a bigger psu help?

Your fan stops? Are you sure it didn't always do that? Some fans that automatically adjust speed stop alogether after a quick spin startup, and don't spin up until the system is warm. Leave it a few minutes and see if it starts spinning then.

I suppose that could be. I never left it on long enough for it to start. I also just turned on the alarm for when the fan stops.

Leave it for 5 minutes, the temperature of your CPU won't become critical in that space of time, but the fan should come on, if it doesn't, then shut the system down.
