Hey I have a new Samsung 32" tv, and am trying to hook it up to my laptop which is an HP dv1000 (couple years old)
I bought a VGA cable male to male like the person at Best Buy told me to, but it doesnt seem to want to connect.
When i change the source on my tv to P.C., the tv shows an information bar saying no signal
    What does this mean?
Does the cable not read, or do i just have to adjust my resolution settings?
Any thoughts would be greatly apprectiated
    cheers
    -Josh

this is just a "left field" guess, but you probably have to boot into your bio's settings and turn that external monitor port on.
