For all you new operators of DVD Recorders here is some helpful info: Find on your remote control buttons Home when screen comes up scroll, using arrow keys to icon Easy Menu scroll down to Disc Manager press Enter this will bring you to Finalize procedures. On that screen use arrow keys to hy-lite Finalization press Enter this will take 4-7 min. once finished press ok with Enter key, this will bring you back to thumbnail screen. Pick out one of thumbnails press play than stop and remove your DVD. Than try it in a DVD player to confirm it works.
DVD R discs only need to be finalized to enable them to be viewed on a different player or to prevent adding more content to the disc. DVD+RW discs do not need to be finalized and seldom if ever is there an option to do so.
