I have a Hp Pavilion ze4540us laptop It has a Intel 2.4ghz 515 mb ram 80gb hard drive I'm trying to use the network card built into the laptop but every time I Connect a Ethernet cable to it, it just keeps looping from Network cable unplugged to acquiring network address and back again. What could be the problem. I know that the cable is fine because it works on my sisters laptop. Any ideas on what it could be? Thank you.
Probably a faulty network adapter, I'd suggest you buy a PCI network card, install that and use that instead.
