Just noticed this yesterday as I was trying to upload music to my daughters MP3 player, but my device manager is empty, completely empty. I cant get my computer to recognize the player, but it does recognize my digital camera??. I've tried other tips on getting it back, doing all that in registry with ENUM, its empty in safe mode as well, next step is trying that Aproposfix.exe thing.

I have free AVG anti-virus, free Zone Alarm firewall, free SuperAntiSpyware and nothing is cathing/finding anything if this pertains to viruses or whatever. Did online scan with Spysweeper too.

How do I get my device manager back?

    Thank you

Just finished with that Apropos.exe and it found nothing. Oh well was worth a shot.
