Alright so I think it's time to finally add surround sound to my room. I've got some deals from a friend and have picked out the pieces that I'd like to buy. I'll mostly be using it for movies and not so much for music. These are the pieces I've gone with: Receiver - Denon AVR-589 http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pr...angid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10109408&catid=10551 Floor Standing - Klipsch RF-52 x2 http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pr...angid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10113244&catid=19171 Centre - Klipsch RC-10 http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pr...angid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10105927&catid=10553 Subwoofer - Polk Audio PSW10 Bookshelf - Klipsch Pair RB10 http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pr...angid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10105957&catid=10552 I can get the total package for $1150 after taxes and just wanted to make sure that the speakers would work properly with the receiver and other techinal stuff.
It is decent......... It would be a little better with the Onkyo TX-SR606, if you can find one there. The Denon you listed, and the Onkyo 606 are close to the same price here in the US. Don't know about Canada. That Denon is $100 more in Canada, than here. I say the Onkyo would be a little better because if you plan to get a blu ray player (standalone or PS3), it decodes the HD audio over HDMI.
