How do I..Windows Media Center on my TV (controlled with remote)

Hi everyone I have a PC with Windows Vista Ultimate, with Windows media center with a lot of movies/music on it. It is on 24/7.

I want to be able to see the windows media center on my TV and be able to scroll through it/play any media that is stored on it. As my computer is in the other room I need to be able to do it with a remote. I think Xbox 360 has an option like that but I am not a gamer.

I have a wireless router and a pc that is next to the TV (with Linux and much slower though) if this would help me at all.

What is my cheapest option here? I can possibly connect my Media PC (in the other room) to my TV with a cable but I would much rather do it wireless to avoid another cable.

I imagine I need to buy something in order to use a remote but what is my cheapest solution?

    Thanks!!

you could buy a windows media extender which functions just like an xbox except without the games. I just checked on ebay and there are a few for 60 dollars, compared to the 150 dollar retail price.

Is it true that they don't support Divx/avi/xvid
