This is probably a stupid question, but is it possible to connect a PVR device straight to a PC LCD monitor? The PVR has scart sockets and also a serial 9-pin D-sub. The monitor has a 15 pin D-sub. I notice that there are cables on the market that go from 9 pin to 15 pin. Would they work? Thanks for your help.

    Hi
Forget the 9 pin on the PVR this is rs232 for Data transfer not picture/video. Your only possiblity is to use scart out of the PVR to the 15 pin D sub on the Monitor. Google 'Scart to VGA' cable. Make sure your monitor will accept VGA on the 15 pin.

Thanks very much for your help with this. I'll get a 'Scart to VGA' cable and see whether that works.
