Yep the weather can affect it alright, same happened to me when it was extremely windy as the cable would swing and eventually loosened the tap, fixed it though :)

The current and only software i've had is 1.0 march 15 2007
My mate has what he says is the last update for the 2007 model but all it does, as far as he knows, is change the interface and solve an issue with the epg. Any ideas??

Hi, Have had my eurovox for over a year now and never had any major problems...until now. Problem is that "No EPG Data" is showing up when I want to view a listing. In Dublin, using N** Cable via eurovox max.

    Model: DVB-XC Box
    S/W: 1.0 SSC4 Feb 14 2007
    H/W: 2.0 Feb 14 2007
    Bootstrap: v001

Any help regarding the EPG issue will be appreciated.

Sounds like your date/time is wrong.

Press menu, config, time settings, fix the date by using the P+ or P-buttons on the remote after selecting date.

You may notice your EPG time is still off by an hour even when date is fixed. Its a problem specific to the Irish EPG stream and the EV, in the UK it can be fixed by unplug and then replug and setting GMT to 00:00, but in Ireland you need to follow these instructions:

    1. Pull plug on the back of the EV for a few seconds then plug back in again..
    2. When EV powers up, immediately press menu, config and time settings.
    3. Set correct time using GMT settings.
    4. Then turn GMT OFF.
    5. Press blue button to save and exit.

It may take more than one attempt so just be patient, it does work. One thing to note though when you have the EPG correct, is to just put it in standby at night, if you unplug it you will have to go through the whole process again.
