open up the device manager on your pc

    assuming you have xp:

1)right click on 'my computer' and hit properties
    2)click on the hardware tab
    3) Then the first section should be the device manager, click on the device manager button.

...any driver that is needed will be shown with a yellow question mark...or if the device is corrupted, it will have a red x i think...(i dont remember lol)

now to get the drivers, i suggest going to your laptop/desktops manufacturer's website and search for somethiing like a 'driver downloads' section. It will then prompt you to enter your pc's model number and current operating system on it. Then it should display all available/ supported drivers for your pc. If you cant find what your looking for then you must find another driver that can work with your hardware.
