    Hi folks,

I have one last question to be answered please.

I thought the starview 2 'The Box' was an autorolling device that updated keys etc. automatically.

Will the new flash not autoroll in future. Will keys have to be manually inputted going future.

    Ta,
    B

But i have been told that i need to enter a key after the new flash intstall. Do i only need to enter the new key because it is a new firmware upgrade and it should then autoroll?

Sorry for all the questions. Just getting my head around the steps and future steps

No, you don't need to enter keys if your flash works properly. But some of the boxes are lazy and take ages to autoroll, in which case you can manually input the keys if you have them.

The new firmware will get the key by itself ... tune into S*y S*orts 1, 2 or 3 and wait.

You just have to ensure you have the EMU option set to ON in the hidden menu (access by pressing MENU then enter 1570 in case you didn't know)

You don't have to update your firmware with The Box in Dublin, yet. Allegedly, if you enter the codes doing the rounds you'll get all your channels back.

Nobody has to update ever if they have the codes. But it's easier to flash your box and know it will work rather than spend hours chasing codes maybe everyday for months.

How do you get your codes? from people who has a box that auto updates and shares them so there is every need to update mate ;) saves searching for them all the time.

it's just I came on here and there was posts saying 'you have to update', and I thought uh-oh I don't have the cables etc, no tv for me for a while. Turns out I didn't have to update. Of course I would much rather update and will get around to it.

when i first got my box i struggled to connect the box to my laptop with any lead so i put the hard drive into an enclosure with USB connection and just copied and pasted the firmware into a firmware folder on the harddrive. Can i do this with the new fix or do i need to use the loader and cable? Your help and advice will be greatly appreciated
