Flash Update Fail - Thxe Box Super

    Guys i'm in Dublin. Trying to follow the instructions on http://www.freewebs.com/boxsuper/ Using usb to serial adaptor and null modem cable. Cable installed correctly and port changed to com1. When i go to download GTRom_Super_8.02e.exe and then i get the error.

    Any idea's what i should try next?

    i'm assuming standby is with just the time showing on the box. have tried both with power on and on standby.

    The box super does not have a fix as of 23.00 Hours on the 20/12/2008. The only thing u can do is to search for the keys and manually install them....

    pardon my ignorance but how do you manually put in the keys? and also where do i find them

    evastar the link on that page for the super doesn't work. it says that the file link that you requested is not valid.

    Guys is there any way i can check that the usb adaptor/null modem combination is actually working with the box. Is there some command i can use? As stated in original post when i click download i get Flash Update Fail error and trying just the null modem cable on diff laptop/pc is just not an issue until late next week.

    You are doing what you can, it is not obviously working (the combination) some have no problem, but other's do, so the answer is no not really, as long as you have checked all the info posted as I am sure that you have.
