when you say that it wont work, and is stuck on 0001, do you have anything coming on your screen of the box, you may need to connect the box to your tv using an rf lead, not scart and tune it to your tv, either uhf freq 38 or 40, then you may see a message asking you to enter pin number, which is 1004, then ok, then you will get your menu up, then enable the scart output, do a complete power scan, and if it does not work after that, then you may need to put on the blue clonesafe firmware, i am not sure about the above, as it is something that i read on another forum, which is supposed to work. your remote maybe working, but if the scart is not enabled, and you cannot see an output from the box, you may not be able to do anything until the pin is entered.

pressed 1004 then lock light came up so thats something good in the right direction. cant find the station when scanning on the tv using rf cable. Put the scart back no joy either. when turn the box off it goes back to normal stte with no lights on other than the power light. Any other ideas?

did you make sure that you connected the rf cable to the rf out on the back of the eurovox, and not the cable output, then use your tv tuner to tune the box into the tv, if this does not work, then they may be other problems, as i said, i did read this as a solution on another forum, so cannot think of anything else offhand

    bringing this back up.
i have also just flashed a box (eurovox 2006) with new blue firmware, plugged it all back in, powered on, then OSD displays 0001.
i can't change channels, get into the menu,or anything.
i have used the correct firmware, i know this because i flashed the same box 6-7 months ago. i know its not a T.V tuning issue too.
my guess is that it is just a bad flash, but i have reflashed it several times now and got the same result.
i am going to delete the firmware i have on computer, then download it again from eamos? then try flash again.
    will report back.
anyone else had similar problems or know of a solution?

I have the old software on my box at the min. Put new software on it same thing happened and then put the old software on back on. So dont know if it will work with the new but sure it will. Cn let us know? When u flash the box take scart out put an rf feed cable into the box and then have another rf cable coming out of the tv/vcr connection to the tv. Scan the tv and you will find a pin page of the box. Put 1004 in as the pin. Change the settings to rgb to use scart connection again. Have to put 1004 in as the pin every time turn the power off at the box.

once you have enabled the scart, it should stay that way until you alter the firmware again, after applying new firmware, certain boxes disable the scart output, so you need to manually tune the box back into the tv, enter pin, 1004 in this case, then change the settings back in the menu to re enable the scart, once reenabled, it will stay enabled until you either change the firmware, or disable it yourself, but after you power the box down, when you power up the box again, it will still be enabled.

ok so i put an RF lead into the tv/vcr socket on back of box and connected to the tv.
after tuning in the tv i got up the password box and entered 1004.
i still couldn't get into the menu (no reponse when press menu button on remote)
after a few seconds the eurovox powered off, came back on again then the password box on tv was all blurred.
have i done something wrong? i know someone posted to use the RF out socket, but it doesn't have one?
getting near my witts end with this one, more help please!!!!

on the back of the box, next to the power inlet socket, there is, or should be tv in, and tv out sockets, use the tv out socket, using rf patch lead to connect to telly, then tune in to tv, usally on 40 uhf, or 38 in some cases

next to power inlet is tv/vcr socket, and ant. socket.
on left of the box is rf in socket and loop out socket.
i guessed to use the tv/vcr socket... is that right?

yes, where it says rf in on the box is for your cable input, and loop out is for your cable feed out , if you wish to run more boxes etc, where it says tv in and out is your normal loop for putting your aerial in, and connecting to tv, or vcr using the rf tuners.

    good for you bohscelt.however.....
i'm a bit reluctant to try the clone firmware as i'm sure this is a genuine box, it belongs to a friend and i have flashed it in the past with the genuine firmware.
unless someone can assure me the clone firmware is safe to use?
