CloneDVD to ipod, file won't play

So I used clonedvd that I downloaded from afterdawn and it worked great!

I put the movie mp4 file to the ipod and it will not play. The screen comes up to play but the time meter on the bottom won't move, the file opens but will not actually play.

Is there a size limit to what the ipod is capable of actually playing?

I put the whole movie on as one mp4 file, about 360mb.

I know the ipod plays video though.

It is a 3rd gen nano w/ 4gig
