I want to convert my HD Dvd's to a format that I can stream from my PC to my PS3. All of my HD DVD's have the vc-1 codec so I know they need to be recoded somehow. Here's what I've done so far.

    1. rip video to hd with AnyDvd HD.
    2. stripped the pull down with vc1conv
    3. converted audio to ac3 with eac3to
    4. muxed audio and video to .mt2s with TsMuxer

What I have now is a .mt2s file that cannot be streamed due to the vc-1 codec.

    What is my next step.

I've tried using Ripbot264 but when I load the video the only thing that happens is that a media player classic window opens. That's it. Nothing else happens.

I've also tried using Megui but have no idea what I'm doing.

Can anyone offer some help or point me in the right direction?

Check out Handbrake as it has some strong H.264 encoding capabilities. I don't know if it supports the vc-1 input though.

Are you using another codec pack as well as ripbot. Thats usually the problem if media player clasic opens.

    Uninstall it if you are.

You need FFDSHOW installed. Also check

Start->Programs->ffdshow->Video decoder configuration and go to your VC-1 and see if it says disabled.

If so set it to libavcodec and VC-1 HD should work.

Also if you have vista disable UAC and run as administrator.
