Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

ConvertXtoDVD for MKV to DVD-DL

#1 26 Dec 2008 @ 3:42
Using ConvertXtoDVD 3.3.2.100 for converting HD MKV files to DVD-DL (8100mb) discs but noticed that the mkv files size of 7.94Gb created a video_ts folder of only 6gb! Why would it be less when the target encoding is set to dvd-9(8100mb)?
Using the High quality and automatic settings with no menus...

Well first off you want to use DL +R (plus)for movies. Is it a low action movie?

Many different movies, found out now its out of sync. Replayed the mkv from media player classic, its out of sync, and so are other mkvs.
Also, dvd shrink crashes now as soon as I click reauthor, for any standard dvd iso image..
Could a bad installed codec be causing these problems?
Thanks all!
