I am looking for a blu ray player that can do divx.

I have found a Samsung and a LG at Best Buy

    Samsung BD-p2550, LG BD300.

Then there is a Panasonic unit that flat out says it plays Divx on the website

    DMP-BD55K.

In my reading of the user comments on the best buy site..
What was heavy was the load times. But i found that for other blu ray players, not just those three.

What do you the people of Afterdawn think.

Or will Divx just be resolved with a firmware upgrade nowadays?

    Thank you

Have you considered PS3. Thats what I use for DivX-HD and it works great.

I did consider it .. but not so much.

I should have looked further into the capabilities of the PS3.

I ended up settling on this unit.

When I buy something highend.. I usually go for the best buy. It was a tossup bewteen three unts. One had better audio processing. the other was cheaper its load time was not good. so I settled on this one.
it can do netflix, pandora and i have a program to convert over to h.264 which it can do out of the box.

    Thank you for your post.
