I just purchased a new laptop and i was a bit weary since i had no experience with Vista, so far i am a bit surprised, its not as bad as i expected, but still its no Vista.

Anyways, i got my laptop on and began to download the necessities, i.e. codecs, programs, etc. and realized whenever im online or offline vista wont allow me to view some images, all i see is the little CIRCLE SQUARE AND TRIANGLE. This goes for online and offline activities, i do have java installed, my graphics card is updated, i have flash player(if it might be needed) shockwave player, active X, all latest versions, and still no fix

    Help!!

Have you tried using another browser? And in your options for IE images might be shut off. That's usually the case when you want faster browsing on a slower speed.

While in IE go to tools, internet options, click on the advance tab, look in multimedia and check "show pictures" is marked off. Let me know if that works.
