I flashed the latest update for The Box PVR (the file StarViewPVR-21122008.bin) and it appears to have gone back to the version 4.506 from the 15th Oct - the version I had previous to the 8th Dec 08 version. Can anyone shed light on this? Is it just that my machine is going weird, or is this file simply wrong? Ferg.
Sorry, I forgot to mention the link on the main firmware update thread didn't work so I got it from that website that hosts all the firmware.
I noticed that too, it is also the same file size as the Oct 2007 version. Also, in the system version , it says it's the oct 2007 version. At least it works though, but just confusing. I had liked the new specs that the latest version brought but it's still beta and no sign of a full release. Has anyone heard if there will be an updated firmware with improved functionality to the Oct 2007 version?
i presume that the guys doing the fix decided to go back to the oct version of the firmware and just update that to decript the new codes, because the version brought out at the start on december was abit buggy. havnt tryed it yet, will when i get home tho.
