Hey, i got the acer aspire SA80, and i have Phoenix Technologies, LTD R01-B1 10/15/2005 BIOS, where can i get an update for this? Its just that i cant boot from CD, im trying to install Vista Ultimate but when i select my dvd drive it pretty much just skips it. it would boot my old not working anymore IDE dvd drive, but i got a new SATA one, so i thought a bios update would fix this...

    thanks

On my gateway laptop which also has a Pheonix bios what i have to do is arrow over to boot. Then use the - key to lower the item that is at the top of the list. If u have this option just do this until cd/dvd is on top of everything else. Good luck
