I have 7 DivX .avi files from a TV season. They are ripped from a DVD so I shuold be able to convert them back. All together the 7 files take up 1.92Gb and I followed the Divx-to-DVD tutorial on this site and did the part about merging the files with virtualdub. And the resulting avi file is 80.1Gb! What am I doing wrong? When I load the avi into AVICodec it says the file says is 80.1Gb but the video portion is only 1.92Gb which makes sense. I'm really confused. Thanks for your help.

Did u use PCM audio???? That would do it. Or did you use RAW AVI as your video codec? That would do it too hehe

I figured out the problem. I forgot to compress the file when I appended them. So they all decompressed, hence making it a huge file.
