OK so I'm a complete newbie to video conversion. And I seem to be stuck on square one!

I appreciate that this is probably the most obvious of errors, but no matter how I tweak it 'avi_io' fails to capture audio when I'm capturing my video.

I have a pinnacle PCTV card for capture and I'm trying to get a readonable backup of my my now aging vids.

The video is fine - and when I use pinnacle software to preview/capture the audio playback is fine!

Take pity on the stupid (that's me) and help, please!
