Ok i got my chip (xecuter lite+) got it in and put the xecuter bios on it. then i put the slayer installer on a disc and tried to boot up, i have one of the thompson drives so i had to try it a couple times. i dont have my pc connected to my xbox cause i am waiting for a crossover cable. but i did do the back up option slayers gave me then i went to inst/upgr evox apps and xbmp. it did its little copy thing for a while, then when i powered it back up it was the same old thing, M$ dash with xecuter below it. i tried doing the other install options in slay and nothing worked. anyone have any ideas to help me? i would really appriecate it.
looks like your doing right to me. It should be option 5 - Upgrade XBMP.APPS & EVOX then option 1 or 2 depending on harddrive.then click yes. Maybe you slayers disc is faulty. I just did the above steps and mine installed fine.
i got the installer program from irc that i was directed to by past posts in this forum(these forums have been great help thanks to everyone for that). I did the install option 5. and then for the retail drive. i think it might be my media so i am going to try some other. any more help would be nice.
with media you should find it will either read it or not, so i would be surprised if that was your problem, what drive/media are you using?
