Hi there..I wanted to create a channel dump so i can have the list on both my boxes the same. I have two of "The Box" original. i followed the guide from the sticky but im getting a flash update fail...is there a specific loader i should use ? i tried GTRom Super8.02 and V4.03 loaders but got errors on both. I tried switching on and off and tried standby mode. Also, i dont understand this bit: Now open SVCE program and click File > Open > locate the Channel Dump you just saved and move , rename as you like and SAVE , then transfer the file back to your SV and you have the channels in order etcAny ideas?
Ok figured out that "SVCE" is the Channel editor. Still cant get the channel dump done though. Would the USB-Serial converter be causing this ? I know it works fine downloading but could it cause a problem uploading with channel file data ?
you could try transfering the data on the good box to the other one, simply using the null modem cable connect the two boxes turn the dodgy one away from the remote control press menu, then user set up, at the bottom you will see S/V transfer press this and the data will transfer from one to the other
Does this actually work ?? Cool. Its not the serial to usb converter cause i tried just the serial cable on another pc and it failed gain.
On the good box select Menu User Set up SW Transfer make sure the recieving box (slave) is pointed away from the remote though and in standby. Apologies earlier I had it round the wrong way!!!
