nullmodem

    OK lads i only have a laptop at the moment because the misses decided to get rid of my perfectly good home PC a couple of weeks ago when i was at work! the problem is like most laptops its a 15 prong connection not 9 witch is the (null) yeah female to female witch i need to flash my digibox, can anybody point me in the right direction for a solution to this prob, thanks lads keep up the good work.

    yep..get a usb to serial converter and the null modem cable.

    Failing that ... if one of yoour mates has XP on there Pc you could do it the old way... Vista is giving major problems to most in relation to flashing!!!

    thats why i put up the peats usb they can be got cheaper but have that 1 for my own vista and it works well

    TRYABIT,your a star mate got the usb to sreial today and just flashed the box back up and running, chuffed fare play to ya and the rest of ya's thanks for your help!!
