8mm tapes to DVD

    I purchased the Panasonic VDR-D50 DVD camera for Christmas and wanted to know what I needed to do to transfer my old 8mm tapes to the new camera? My old camera is a Sharp VL-SD20 it has a DV port and S-Video port. Can I with the right cables play from my old camera and record on my new DVD camera?

    doesnt look like it but if you have a tv tunner card in your computer can get external ones you can do it through the computer
