I just got GTA 4, fixed all the bugs, got all the needed settings, but after 5 minutes of play, my PC starts to overheat from 48 Celcius(normal) to 61 celcius(horrible) i cant figure out the problem; i tried to lower the settings to their lowest, turned off all programs that were runnign, and it still overheated. My PC tahnkfully does not turn off, but rather start to make noise by the fans running faster.

    Here are my specs:
AMD Atholon 64 DX-62 Dual Core Processor
    2.80GHz
    1.00GB of Ram
    Radeon X1900 series video card
    OS: XP Professional
    ATI catalyst 8.12

And what really is funny is the fact that not only do i have fans, i have a Liquid cooling system (Koolance) and i today just put more cooling liquid in the system. Any suggesstions?

well GTAIV is coded in a terrible way so that even high end computers have trouble running it. With your low system specs, I think your computer has to work extra hard, and so that's why it overheats. Try adding more RAM.

I dont think i do have low system specs other than my RAM and video card. I have bought 2gb of more RAM from Newegg, but the RAm was faulty, how bout that? i'll just request more RAM. GTA 4 right now is running perfectley with 1gb RAM and no overheating, i dont know why and don't care.

I think the problem is that your cpu is doing to much of the proccessing and its causing it to over heat. I think you should up grade your graphics card to something like the 3650 or highier and maybe get a bigger fan for your cpu. Cause GTA 4 should run fine with the amount of ram you have.
