came across the patched version of 007, it loads on to the HD no problem and boots with no problem. Now when you make it to the 4th stage(1st racing stage) the game freezes after a certain point, like its trying to accesses something. Has anyone had the same problem and how can you correct this.

A friend of mine had this problem. Disconnect your network cable, set the date and time again and make sure that it stays set. Delete your 007 saves and started from the start again. There are quite a few people with the level 4 freeze problem, and it doesnt matter the copy. Retail, downloaded, blah blah, if you have the level 4 freeze problem, the copy of the game is not the problem. If you set your date and time correctly and don't erase the game saves with the incorrect time it will reset your clock again to the wrong time. Might not work for everyone but im sure it will for some people. I have the game as well and never applied any patches to the game and it plays fine from the hd as well as the dvd. i also had the same problem i have the ntsc release and i also crashed on the first driving level all you have to do is change the tv settings to ntsc in appz and it will play fine
yes i changed to ntsc and worked fine,also do you have to buy a new connection cable to play ntsc games in colour?
it may be your tv that dosent suport ntsc i was playing something cant remember what in ntsc and it was black an white then i got a new widescreen tv and its all colour i might be wrong but that fixed my problem or try running your xbox through your dvd player or video
